Our History
Be Kind 4:32 Inc. initially started to shared kindness during CoVID by giving away free shirts with the element of “kindness”. Shirts we’re given out to anyone who was willing to receive one. A person would receive two shirts; one for themselves and one to give to some else. Be Kind expanded from just giving free shirts to meeting the needs of young people in school. Be Kind provided calculators and textbooks to those going to college. During the summer of 2023, we had our first tabling event. We gave out over 75 t shirts and handed out school supplies to children at Laurel Skate Center during DJ Swizzy’s Take Over Tuesday session. In that same year, the Lord placed on my heart the desire to put together Thanksgiving boxes for seniors in the Pin Oak Village Senior Apartments in Bowie MD. We were able to give out 8 Thanksgiving boxes. From those two events, I learned that Be Kind 4:32 Inc. Will be used to meet the needs of God’s people, God’s people being all people. I wanted to use this to share the love and kindness of Christ to all people. I also wanted to use the avenue to pay it forward. I wanted to be able to share the same generosity and kindness that people have shown towards me and my mother to others. People need genuine kindness shown to them and the need to know that God truly loves them. It is necessary! We set out and continued to hand out shirts. In 2024, we partnered with Metro Rollers and Lanham Skate Center to put together a back-to-school event. Our goal was to collect and give out 200 backpacks filled with school supplies. We exceeded our goal and gave out over 240 backpacks along with 10 college starter baskets.
The event was a total success. We were able to bless children at the event, St. Charles County, Rollerfit ATL, and Luminis Health AAMC GSU. Through this event, we started to organize and work towards establishing our non-profit. This event brought together “The Village”, the initial board of Be Kind 4:32 Inc; Danyelle McElrath, Tamier Barret, D’Shown Brown, Angela Carson, Gabriel Tyler, and Lisa Gaunt. The event also brought together a dedicated group of volunteers and staff for Be Kind 4:32 INC. God was slowly but surely establishing and orchestrating us. In conversation and interactions, I saw that they had a genuine desire to serve others and that they embodied the mission of Be Kind 4:32 Inc. Our non-profit focus is to help meet the needs of youth and seniors plus those in between. Spreading and sharing kindness is our goal. Our next endeavor for the year 2024 will be our Thanksgiving baskets for our seniors. Our goal is 30 baskets. If the Lord shall lead and provide, we will continue in the faith, serving and spreading kindness.
